Lance is a well-known chef with an extensive local and national following. Many will be familiar with his legacies of Indigo Kitchen and Bar in Maplewood and Indigo Smoke in Montclair, which received rave reviews from critics and clients alike.
Lance’s experience as Chef and restaurateur has earned him a reputation as one of the most successful talents on the culinary scene in New Jersey and beyond. His restaurants and skills have been highlighted in The New York Times, The Star Ledger, Zagat’s, New Jersey Monthly, and New Jersey Life, among others. He received formal training through his Apprenticeship in Culinary Arts, having studied French, American, and Southwestern cuisines.
Lance has personally cooked for a number of notable people and organizations including Julia Child, Mario Batali, Vera Wang, Charlie Rose, Ted Danson, FAO Schwartz, Essence Magazine, Vibe Magazine, the NY Jets, the NJ Nets, Queen Latifah, and Whoopi Goldgerg. In 2010, he was one of the team of chefs selected to cater the wedding of Chelsea Clinton and had the honor of preparing a special meal for Chelsea and her fiancé before their guests arrived.
